Dayton Office

Marketing Assistant:

We currently have a full-time Marketing Assistant position available in our Dayton, Ohio office.  This position assists the Marketing Coordinators with the administrative functions of marketing new business accounts to agency and carrier guidelines.

Responsibilities/Key Accountabilities Include the Following:
    1. Enter/input applications into agency management system based on information from Marketing Coordinators.
    2. Attach e-mails, documents, etc. to clients and prospects in agency management system.
    3. Prepare initial draft of proposals according to agency guidelines.
    4. Book premiums, issue binders, Auto ID cards, and certificates of insurance utilizing the agency management system.
    5. Update proposals and quotes AS SOLD
    6. Update applications, SOVs, and other spreadsheets as directed by Marketing Coordinators.
    7. Turn completed new business account file over to appropriate Client Service Manager.
    8. Prepare monthly New Business Report.
    9. Maintain agency paper and electronic files accurately and consistently, following agency procedural guidelines and E&O carrier standards.
    10. Assist the Marketing Coordinators in the development and implementation of marketing programs.
    11. Utilize carrier websites to generate quotes, applications, and various forms as needed.
    12. Maintain good working relationship with underwriters and other carrier personnel.
    13. Assist or complete other duties or tasks as assigned by agency management.

Position Requirements:

Education:  High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience:  1-3 years minimum administrative assistant experience.  Insurance industry experience preferred.

Skills:  Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), results oriented, problem analysis, interpersonal, decision making/judgment, communications, planning/organizing, multi-tasking, detail oriented

Attributes:  Ability to learn, creativity, self confidence, stress tolerance, customer service, flexibility, initiative, work ethic/integrity, team oriented

Successful candidates will be interested in learning insurance and advancing their insurance education.
